Special Locations: Additional Pick Up Surcharge, What to note

For certain pickup locations in Singapore, additional surcharges and documentation may apply due to access restrictions, administrative requirements, or time-sensitive arrangements. This article outlines the key details to help you prepare for a smooth collection process for the following locations:

  1. Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA)
  2. Changi Airport (Lost & Found)
  3. Comfort Delgro Driving Centre
  4. Sentosa
  5. Hotels


⚠️ Note:

The actual pick-up date may differ from the one you selected in the form. We will coordinate the final pick-up timing based on:

  • Item readiness – Has the location confirmed your item is ready for collection?
  • Document completeness – Have all required documents been submitted and verified?

This approach helps us prevent failed pick-ups — especially important for shippers like yourself who may not be present at the collection point. Failed collections can incur non-refundable surcharges, so we’ll only proceed once everything is in order.


1. Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA)

Additional Pick-up surcharge - $20


Step 1: Confirm your item is ready for collection

Contact the ICA officer you've been corresponding with and let them know that a courier from JustShip will be collecting the item on your behalf.

Please ensure:

  • The item is ready for pickup
  • You’ve received confirmation that ICA will release it to a third party


Step 2: Fill in our shipment form

Please use:

  • Your own name for both the shipper and recipient fields
  • Your WhatsApp number as the sender’s contact
  • ICA’s phone number as the pickup contact
  • The full pickup address provided to you by ICA


Step 3: Prepare required documents

Please complete the following:

WhatsApp us at +65 9118 7971 with:

  • Your Shipment ID (e.g. 220319P494N8R01X)
  • The completed Letter of Authorisation
  • Your ID/passport copy


⚠️ To ensure a smooth collection, kindly send us your completed authorization form and passport copy at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup date. This will enable our courier team to successfully collect your items from the Lost and Found counter.


Step 5: Forward ICA’s confirmation

Email us at hello@justship.sg with any email correspondence from ICA confirming the pick-up arrangement. This helps ensure we’re able to collect on your behalf without issues.




2. Changi Airport

Additional Pick-up surcharge - $20


Why is there a surcharge for airport pick-ups?

Airport pick-ups often involve additional time and effort — locations can be tricky to access, security protocols may apply, and pick-up points vary (e.g. Lost & Found, guard posts, concierge, and retail stores). These collections also sometimes require coordination with airport staff or handling of special documents. The surcharge helps cover the added operational complexity and any location-based fees we may incur.

3. ComfortDelGro Centre

Additional Pick-up surcharge - $20


Step 1: Confirm your item is ready for collection

Contact the staff at ComfortDelgro you've been corresponding with and let them know that a courier from JustShip will be collecting the item on your behalf.

Please ensure:

  • The item is ready for pickup
  • You’ve received confirmation that ComfortDelgro will release it to a third party


Step 2: Fill in our shipment form

  • Your own name for both the shipper and recipient fields
  • Your WhatsApp number as the sender’s contact
  • Comfort Delgro’s phone number as the pickup contact
  • The full pickup address provided to you by Comfort Delgro

4. Sentosa

Additional Pick-up surcharge - $8


Sentosa pickups incur a S$8 surcharge due to the additional time, coordination, potential fees and distance involved. Sentosa is relatively out of the way, and navigating to specific locations within the island — such as hotels, residences, or attractions — can be less straightforward than standard pickups.


In some cases, access-related fees or delays may be incurred during collection. This surcharge helps us cover those potential costs while ensuring a smooth and reliable pickup experience for you.



5. Hotels

Step 1: Confirm your item is ready for collection

Contact the hotel’s front desk or Lost & Found department to:


  • Confirm that your item has been located and is ready for pick-up.
  • Inform them that a courier from JustShip will be collecting the item on your behalf, and obtain their confirmation. Ask where the item will be handed over (e.g. Concierge desk, or Lost & Found counter).


Hotels typically do not require a Letter of Authorization, but they often need the following details to verify the item:


  • Your full name
  • Room number
  • Period of stay
  • Description of the item


Please ensure this information is clearly communicated to the hotel and acknowledged by their staff to avoid any issues during collection.


Step 2: Fill in our shipment form

  • Hotel’s main line or Lost & Found contact number as the pickup contact
  • The full hotel address provided to you


Step 3: Send us your shipment details via WhatsApp

WhatsApp us at +65 9118 7971 with:

  • Your Shipment ID (e.g. 220319P494N8R01X)
  • Any special pickup instructions provided by the hotel (e.g. who to ask for, where to collect, specific timing)
  • Your name, room number, and stay details



Step 4: Forward hotel confirmation (if available)

If you have any email correspondence with the hotel confirming pickup, please forward it to hello@justship.sg. This helps ensure a smooth and successful handover during collection.
